Arkansas City Police Department Reports 1,292 Calls for Service in February
ARKANSAS CITY, Kan. — The Arkansas City Police Department responded to 1,292 calls for service in February, generating 170 reports during what officers called a busy month despite it being the shortest of the year.
Officers issued 300 warnings and 188 citations during the month and conducted 345 traffic stops, which resulted in nine DUI arrests. The department made 57 arrests total in February.
Traffic accidents numbered 15 for the month, four of which involved injuries and 11 were non-injury crashes. Officers also documented 23 property crimes and 19 person crimes.
In addition to patrol and enforcement activity, officers participated in community outreach, including a High Fives event at Roosevelt Elementary School.
