Arkansas City Fire/EMS Completes Training on Advanced Cardiac Equipment

ARKANSAS CITY — The Arkansas City Fire/EMS Department recently completed training on ZOLL Medical Corporation equipment, enhancing the department's ability to respond to cardiac emergencies.

ZOLL monitors and defibrillators are tools first responders use to track heart rhythms and vital signs, deliver life-saving shocks when needed, and provide real-time feedback during CPR, according to the department.

The training equips paramedics and emergency medical technicians with skills to quickly read and interpret vital signs, use CPR feedback to improve chest compressions, and make faster, more confident treatment decisions during emergencies.

"Ongoing training is how we stay ready to serve our community—every call, every day," the department said in a statement posted to social media.

Photographs shared by the department showed personnel practicing with CPR training mannequins and ZOLL monitoring devices in a classroom setting.

The department emphasized that the advanced equipment and regular training help ensure first responders can provide the highest level of emergency cardiac care to Arkansas City residents.

ZOLL Medical Corporation manufactures resuscitation and critical care technology used by emergency medical services across the country.
