Arkansas City Area Chamber of Commerce Warns Members of Email Scam

ARKANSAS CITY, Kan. — The Arkansas City Area Chamber of Commerce is warning members and the public about a fraudulent email circulating under the organization's name.

The Chamber confirmed the emails are not legitimate and urged anyone who receives a suspicious message claiming to be from the organization not to reply and not to send money.

Officials said the Chamber will never charge or solicit payment via email for membership directories or listings, and that they have taken steps to secure their systems.

Residents who receive suspicious emails purporting to be from the Chamber are encouraged to delete them and contact the organization directly through its official channels to verify the legitimacy of any correspondence.
