Arkansas City Chamber Launches Santa Shops Local Holiday Promotion
The Arkansas City Area Chamber of Commerce is running its annual Santa Shops Local promotion, offering shoppers a chance to win $100 while supporting local businesses through Dec. 18. Customers who spend $10 or more at any participating business receive one raffle ticket for the grand prize drawing.

Sumner County to Host Main Street Alliance Training
MILAN, Kan. — The Sumner County Main Street Alliance will hold its first training event Dec. 11 at Diamond Springs Venue in Milan. The daylong session, scheduled from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., will provide training and resources for communities participating in a countywide Main Street initiative.

The Winfield Area Chamber of Commerce is accepting applications for participants in this year’s Lighted Christmas Parade. The parade, themed “The North Pole,” is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, along Main Street from 17th Avenue to 10th Avenue in Winfield. Applications are due by Friday
