City to kick off fire station design process
ARKANSAS CITY, Kan. — City officials will hold a kickoff meeting with Crossland Construction on April 30 to begin the design phase for a new fire station. As part of the planning process, city staff and contractors will tour newly constructed fire stations in Andover and nearby communities to gather design insights. The upcoming meetings will help narrow projected costs before construction begins.
Bids open in May for street resurfacing project

The street improvements are primarily funded through a Kansas Department of Transportation City Connecting Link Improvement Program grant, which assists municipalities in maintaining state highways within city limits.
