Ark City Christmas Medallion Hunt Returns Thursday

ARKANSAS CITY, Kan. — The annual Christmas Medallion hunt will kick off at 9 a.m. Thursday in Arkansas City, according to the Ark City Area Chamber of Commerce and Churches in the City.

The 2025 Christmas Medallion hunt, sponsored by Arkalalah, offers a prize of $250 in local business gift cards to the finder.

Clues will be released each morning at 9 a.m. exclusively in event sponsor stores, with the same clue posted to the Christmas in the City Facebook page at 5 p.m. The hunt continues daily until the medallion is found.

Participants can gain a six-hour advantage by visiting sponsor stores in person to receive clues when businesses open each day.

The lucky finder should take a photo of the medallion and send it to the Christmas in the City Facebook page. Winners will then be directed to bring the medallion to the Ark City Chamber office at 106 S. Summit during business hours to claim their prize. Finders also get to keep the medallion, a special vintage tree ornament.

The winner will choose gift cards in desired amounts totaling $250 from participating Christmas in the City sponsor businesses.

Dozens of local businesses are participating as sponsors, including retail shops, financial institutions, restaurants and service providers throughout Arkansas City.

The medallion may be hidden on public property or business property if applicable.
