MCPHERSON, Kan. — Apt. 6 Resale and Consignment Shop has given the McPherson Opera House $76,433 from the past fiscal year's sales, roughly $11,800 more than it turned over the year before. In a Friday, Aug. 7 announcement, the Opera House said the nonprofit thrift and consignment store at 217 S. Main is managed by Jan Cornett and staffed by volunteers, and depends on donated goods from the community to raise money for the Opera House.

Beginning this season, the shop will keep extended hours from 5 to 8 p.m. for McPherson Main Street's Third Thursdays. That's on top of its regular schedule of 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday and 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Donated items may be dropped off at the back, or east, door during business hours or on Mondays from 10 a.m. to noon.
