ANALYSIS: McPherson sales tax disbursements up 3.2% from a year ago
McPherson's rise is in line with six similar Kansas cities, and its use tax, up 6.6%, is behind them.
Data from the Kansas Department of Revenue shows that local sales tax distributed to McPherson in September is up 3.2% from a year ago, in line with similar cities around the state. Use tax, which tends to come from online and out-of-state purchases, is up 6.6%, behind the same cities.
