Allen Road to Close at Tuttle Creek Boulevard for Concrete Replacement
Four to six-week project will require detour through Casement Road
MANHATTAN, Kan. — Allen Road will be completely closed at its intersection with Tuttle Creek Boulevard beginning Wednesday, February 18, as construction crews begin replacing approximately 200 feet of concrete pavement. The closure is part of Phase 2 of ongoing concrete maintenance work in the area.
During the estimated four to six-week construction period, traffic on Tuttle Creek Boulevard will continue flowing north and south without stopping, as traffic signal heads will be covered throughout the project. Motorists needing to access Allen Road must use a detour route through Casement Road. City officials warn drivers to expect moderate to heavy traffic delays on both Tuttle Creek Boulevard and Casement Road during construction and urge residents to drive safely and watch for construction workers in the area.
