4-Vehicle crash leaves 1 critical, 3 with minor injuries in Reno County

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — One person was critically injured and three others sustained minor injuries in a four-vehicle crash Thursday morning in rural Reno County, authorities said.
The Reno County Sheriff's Office responded to the crash at approximately 6:40 a.m. at the intersection of Yoder Road and Trail West Road, according to a department statement.
Deputies arriving at the scene found one driver trapped in their vehicle but conscious and able to communicate with emergency medical personnel. The occupants of the other three vehicles involved in the crash suffered minor injuries.
Reno County Fire and EMS crews extricated the trapped driver, who was transported to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita in critical condition.
The Kansas Highway Patrol assisted sheriff's deputies at the crash scene, while officers from the South Hutchinson Police Department and Hutchinson Police Department provided traffic control.
The investigation remains ongoing, and no additional details have been released.
