LINDSBORG, Kan. — The Smoky Valley Board of Education will move forward with hiring a third-party company to conduct a community survey regarding a potential future bond issue. The decision was made during the board’s regular meeting Monday night following a discussion of feedback from the district’s bond committee. Superintendent Quentin Breese recommended the survey to gauge public opinion and priorities for potential district projects before proceeding with a formal bond proposal.

LINDSBORG, Kan. — Tim Lambert has resigned as Smoky Valley High School head football coach, effective immediately, according to the district’s Nov. 10, 2025 board minutes. The board also accepted the resignation of Emily Phil as Smoky Valley Middle School head tennis coach, effective immediately.

LINDSBORG, Kan. — Superintendent Quentin Breese shared positive feedback on the district’s “Elementary math FACTS” program during his report to the board Monday. Breese noted the excitement among students engaged in the program and praised the efforts of district principals in managing such initiatives alongside other challenges.
