Funded entirely by a federal Community Development Block Grant with no local match required, the project will install 450-kilowatt and 800-kilowatt generators to run the entire facility during power outages. Public Works Director Jeff Harkins noted the dual setup provides crucial redundancy over competing bids, ensuring clean water production can continue uninterrupted during emergencies.
