Kansas residents should brace for powerful winds through Sunday afternoon, with the National Weather Service issuing wind advisories across much of the state. Wind advisories remain in effect until 4 p.m. CST for north-central, northeast and east-central Kansas. Residents are urged to secure loose outdoor items, including holiday decorations and trash containers, and exercise caution when driving, particularly in high-profile vehicles. Light snow may develop early Sunday morning in northwest Kansas, mainly between 4-10 a.m. CST, with a dusting to 1 inch of accumulation possible north of Interstate 70\. Minor blowing snow could create nuisance travel difficulties before conditions improve by late morning.

Wind chill values will range from zero to 9 degrees across the state, with the coldest readings in northwest Kansas. High temperatures Monday will struggle to reach the low-to-mid 30s across central and southern Kansas, with areas near Topeka only reaching 29 degrees. T
