NEWTON, Kan. — Several residential streets in Newton will close for eight to 10 hours starting Tuesday, Aug. 11, as the city's Street Division begins a three-day round of slurry seal resurfacing.

Work will begin at 7 a.m. each day through Thursday, affecting sections of Cedar Ridge Drive, Columbus, Mourning Dove Lane, Red Fox Lane, Sharps Drive and Cherry Hills Drive. Residents are required to keep vehicle and pedestrian traffic off the fresh surface and must remove parked cars prior to the daily closures to avoid being towed at their own expense.
