## 1 McPherson Bullpups Secure First Win of the Season, Defeat Circle 28-14

The McPherson Bullpups secured their first win of the season in their AVCTL D3 opener, defeating Circle 28-14\. Quarterback Carter Allen threw three touchdown passes, two of which went to sophomore Ashton “Flash-ton” Malm, who also returned a kickoff 95 yards for a score. McPherson took an early lead with Allen's 20-yard TD pass to Malm, then extended it with a second-quarter touchdown to Carlos German. Malm's kickoff return at the start of the second half pushed the Bullpups’ lead to 21-6\. Circle narrowed the gap but Allen’s final touchdown to Malm sealed the victory. The Bullpups now stand at 1-1 for the season.
