### Above-ground pool fence height requirements remain unchanged

SALINA, Kan. — Despite shifts in the city's building code references, regulations requiring a 48-inch fence around above-ground, seasonal swimming pools will remain intact. Salina Building Advisory Board member Ben Windholz questioned whether the shift to new building codes would affect previous local amendments that reduced the required fence height from 6 feet. Acting building official Ian Tinsley confirmed the 48-inch local amendment is preserved in the new code.
