McPherson County voters have until Tuesday, Oct. 13, to register or update their registration for the Nov. 3 general election, according to the [Kansas Secretary of State's 2026 election calendar](https://www.sos.ks.gov/elections/important-election-dates.html?ref=citizenjournal.us). Voters with a valid Kansas driver's license or non-driver's identification card may use the state's [online registration application](https://www.kdor.ks.gov/apps/voterreg/?ref=citizenjournal.us).

Voters may submit paper applications to the McPherson County Clerk's office, 200 N. Maple St., Suite 110, or mail them to P.O. Box 425, McPherson, KS 67460\. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Nov. 3.

Advance voting begins Wednesday, Oct. 14, at the McPherson County Administration Building, 200 N. Maple St. The clerk's office lists regular hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, but the county's [elections page](https://www.mcphersoncountyks.us/946/Elections?ref=citizenjournal.us) does not list separate evening or weekend hours or a 2026 ballot drop-box location. In-person advance voting ends at noon Monday, Nov. 2\. Applications for a mailed ballot must reach the clerk's office by Tuesday, Oct. 27, and voters should return completed ballots by 7 p.m. Election Day.

Voters may call the clerk's office at 620-241-3656 to confirm advance-voting hours and ballot-return options. Voters can check their registration, polling place, and exact sample ballot through [Kansas VoterView](https://myvoteinfo.voteks.org/VoterView?ref=citizenjournal.us).
