# Newton sets three-day street resurfacing schedule for early September

The City of Newton Street Division will begin a three-day slurry seal resurfacing project on Tuesday, prompting road closures lasting eight to 10 hours on sections of Evans and Allison streets. Work will start at 7 a.m. daily through Thursday, progressing north on Evans Street from its south end to First Street. Allison Street will close Wednesday between Southeast 12th and Southeast 14th streets.

Affected residents will receive front-door notices one business day in advance and must remove parked vehicles prior to the closures to avoid being towed at their own expense.
