Newton Public Schools has hired Sydney McBeth to serve as the district's new nutrition program coordinator.

McBeth, who earned a bachelor's degree in nutrition and health from Kansas State University in 2023, previously worked as a nutrition coordinator for Child Start, a nonprofit serving children under age 5.
