# Newton schedules street resurfacing, closures beginning Tuesday

NEWTON, Kan. — Several residential streets in Newton will close for eight to 10 hours starting Tuesday, August 4, as the city applies a new slurry seal surface.

Work will begin at 7 a.m. daily through Thursday, August 6, on portions of Lazy Creek, Cedar Ridge and Hidden Meadows drives, as well as Northwood Court. Residents will receive front-door notices one business day in advance and must remove parked cars from the street before closures begin or risk being towed at their own expense.
