The Newton Housing Authority is set to convene a [special meeting at 10:30 a.m. Friday](https://newtonkansas.civicweb.net/Portal/MeetingInformation.aspx?Id=8548&ref=citizenjournal.us) to lay the groundwork for a board hearing regarding an employee's termination. Gathering at the Midtown Towers Community Room, commissioners will introduce legal counsel Brad Jantz, an attorney who also serves as the Harvey County counselor, to advise on board procedures and help establish a date and time for the proceedings.
