Moundridge Middle School students collected more than 400 cans for a local food pantry, according to a Sept. 29 Facebook post from Moundridge USD 423\. The district said [Interim Superintendent Clark Wedel](https://plainspilot.com/2026/05/27/clark-wedel-named-interim-usd-423-superintendent/?ref=citizenjournal.us) wore a K-State jersey for the first time because students placed the most donations beneath his poster.
