McPherson's Board of Public Utilities meets at 3 p.m. Monday, Sept. 14, at the BPU office, 401 W. Kansas Ave., to consider resolutions of intent for an electric rate increase and electric system revenue bonds — the opening step toward possible higher power bills, according to the published agenda.

The companion item, resolution 26-1, would state the board's intent to issue electric system revenue bonds.

Before the two resolutions, the board is set to work through routine business — minutes, vouchers and the treasurer's report — and afterward to hear operations reports covering administration, electric distribution, water distribution and electric production.
