The Bullpups delivered dominant individual performances across the lineup, with three divisions claiming first place and only one match loss on the day. Head coach Tyler Brown was pleased with his team's execution as they prepare for the postseason push. "Today's quad wrapped up our regular season tournaments! The girls were outstanding, dropping only one match at the #1 Doubles spot against a tough Wellington team that could very well earn a two or three seed at state," Brown said. The day's most significant moment belonged to senior Maryn Sandbo, who reached a career milestone by recording her 100th varsity win while going undefeated in No. 1 singles with a perfect 3-0 record. "A special highlight was watching Maryn Sandbo reach 100 career wins—an incredible milestone, especially since every one of those wins has come at the varsity level. That's not easy to accomplish," Brown noted of his standout player's achievement. Sandbo's milestone caps an exceptional career of consistent excellence at the varsity level, a feat that speaks to both her talent and dedication to the program. Mayson Wiens matched Sandbo's perfect record in No. 2 singles, finishing 3-0 to claim first place in her division. "Mayson was rock solid as usual, finishing the day 3-0," Brown observed. In doubles competition, the No. 2 team of Dragon Rodriguez and Lleyton Kuhn delivered the day's other championship performance, going undefeated at 3-0\. "Both Dragon and Lleyton also had strong performances going 3-0," the coach Brown said. The lone blemish came at No. 1 doubles, where Quinn Liebl and Avery Unruh earned second place with a 2-1 record, falling only to the strong Wellington tandem that Brown expects to contend for a high state tournament seed. With regular season tournaments complete, the Bullpups now turn their attention to the most important stretch of their season. "Looking ahead, Varsity League is next Monday, followed by Regionals on Friday. Hard to believe the season is already just a couple of weeks from wrapping up," Brown said.
