Gifts to McPherson County nonprofits can be matched starting Saturday, Oct. 10, when the McPherson County Community Foundation opens an expanded matching event that runs through Nov. 10.

The event is the first countywide Match Month. [Citizen Journal reported](https://www.citizenjournal.us/mccf-shifts-match-week-to-fall-combines-events-into-countywide-match-month/) in January that the foundation was moving Match Week to the fall and combining its events into that single countywide campaign.

Match Month grew out of the foundation's long-running annual matching campaign, previously called Match Day and Match Week, which raises money to build endowments for local nonprofits.

In fall 2025, the campaign ran as Match Week, which Citizen Journal's coverage framed as a chance for donors to double their impact. Details on this year's event are posted on the foundation's website.
