But small towns across America have lost more than just manufacturing jobs. They've lost coverage of their municipal governments, lost touch with local kids playing sports, and most importantly, they've lost a common connection to their neighbors.* *citizen journal is trying to reinvent the newspaper for the digital era. We will be publishing this newsletter, the McPherson Brief, 3 days per week at first, with the goal of daily in the future. We're going to add more news, more sports, obituaries, job postings, and more. We're going to sell ads to support it - if you're a local business who wants to reach a local audience, please consider advertising. We had 50 people sign-up since our first issue on* Wednesday*, on top of the 300 people already on this email list; we hope to grow that figure 10x. In addition, we have over 3k users across KS. We also have an iOS and Android app if mobile is better for you. We won’t always get everything right, so let us know when we miss the mark.
