Baseball - Bullpups Complete Regular Season 23-3, Secure Top Seed for Regionals

MCPHERSON, Kan. — The McPherson High School Bullpups baseball team capped their regular season in impressive fashion, sweeping rival Buhler on senior night (7-1, 10-0) before claiming a hard-fought 12-9 victory in their make-up game against Wichita Collegiate to finish with an outstanding 23-3 record. The trio of victories secured McPherson the No. 1 seed in the upcoming 4A West regional tournament, which they'll host next Tuesday, May 20. The senior night sweep was particularly special for the Bullpups' eight graduating players, all of whom will continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level next season, including Carter Allen (Pratt CC), Brenden Doile (Western Nebraska CC), Brock Richardson (Butler CC), Isaac Barnett (Sterling College), Logan Beede (Neosho CC), Brody Seidl and Ian Razak (both Cloud County CC), and Jase Fitzmorris (wrestling at Cloud County CC).
