The McPherson Bullpups softball team continued their perfect season Friday, improving to an impressive 24-0 after beating both Junction City and Newton in convincing fashion. The Bullpups' dominant pitching and timely hitting proved too much for their opponents as they maintained their unblemished record heading into the final stretch of the regular season.

In a memorable highlight during Friday's action, senior ace Addison Chapman surpassed the 400 career strikeout mark, cementing her legacy as one of the program's all-time great pitchers. The milestone moment was made even more special as fellow senior Haely Hagemann, who has been Chapman's trusted catcher for all 400 strikeouts, was behind the plate to receive the historic pitch. The dynamic duo's chemistry has been a cornerstone of the Bullpups' success during their high school careers, with their senior leadership helping to propel McPherson toward what they hope will be a deep postseason run.
