Young Bullpups battle through bracket to claim runner-up finish in Manhattan
MANHATTAN — The McPherson 8U softball club team showed tremendous resilience at the state tournament in Manhattan this weekend, battling through the back side of the bracket to claim second place overall. Despite facing adversity after pool play, the young Bullpups demonstrated their offensive capabilities throughout the tournament, scoring an impressive 67 runs over the span of seven games. The team's ability to bounce back and fight through the elimination bracket showcased the determination and grit that has characterized their season.
The Bullpups' journey to the championship game required them to win multiple elimination games, with their season on the line in each contest. Their powerful offense and never-give-up attitude carried them through pressure-packed situations as they clawed their way back to the title game.
