Lady Pups fall to Manhattan 48-38
Will play Hutchinson for 3rd place tomorrow

The McPherson Bullpups girls' basketball team fell 48-38 in the semifinals to the Manhattan Indians in a hard-fought contest that remained close until the final quarter. Despite a strong performance from senior Brooke Doile, who led the Bullpups with 13 points and 9 rebounds, Manhattan pulled away late behind their aggressive defense and efficient free-throw shooting. McPherson kept the game tight early, entering halftime down just 20-18, but the Indians gradually built their lead in the third quarter behind key steals and transition baskets. Rylie Whitfield added 9 points for the Bullpups, while Piper Alvord contributed 7 points including a late three-pointer. The Indians' defensive pressure proved decisive in the fourth quarter, as they forced several crucial turnovers and converted them into points to extend their lead to double digits. The Pups play Hutchinson tomorrow for 3rd place at 310p.
