HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The McPherson High School Lady Bullpups swimming team delivered an impressive performance at the league championship meet in Hutchinson, securing third place in the team standings while amassing an impressive collection of individual medals across multiple events. The Bullpups were led by standout swimmers Bree Pickerell and Adyson Wiens, who each collected a remarkable four medals apiece in their individual and relay events, with both athletes capturing two first-place finishes, a second place, and a third place to highlight McPherson's dominant presence in the pool.

The Bullpups' success was further enhanced by strong relay performances, with Claire Schmidt and Gracy Hubbard making significant contributions to the medal count through their relay efforts. Both swimmers were part of gold-medal winning relay teams, with each also contributing to third-place relay finishes that secured valuable points for McPherson in the team standings. The impressive medal haul across both individual and relay events demonstrated the Lady Bullpups' depth and talent as they continue to establish themselves as one of the area's premier swimming programs heading into the postseason competitions, where they'll look to build on their league meet success and challenge for state honors.
