County to Purchase Over $15,000 in Security Cameras for Building Project

The McPherson County Commission approved a quote for $15,879.35 to purchase five external security cameras and associated licensing for the ongoing county building project at 122 W Marlin St. The purchase includes pan-tilt-zoom cameras to monitor the areas around the building and stationary dome cameras for the parking garage. The new cameras are intended to enhance security during business hours and to monitor the facility after hours, citing issues with individuals going onto the roof and skateboarding in the garage. The wiring and mounting of the cameras are already included in the electrical contractor’s bid for the building project.
