MCPHERSON, Kan. — The McPherson High School Lady Bullpups' perfect 31-0 season and first-ever state championship in school history has been recognized with an impressive sweep of AVCTL Division 3 postseason honors. Senior ace Addison Chapman was named first-team pitcher and league MVP, leading a dominant Bullpups contingent that placed five players on the first team. Joining Chapman on the first team were Addie Herrera (first base), Haely Hagemann (catcher), Pera Bauer (outfield), and Rylie Whitfield (shortstop), while first-year head coach Daryl Hoelting was honored as Coach of the Year for guiding the historic championship run.

The Lady Bullpups' depth was further showcased with additional all-league selections, as Ashlyn Schroeder earned second-team designated player honors and Cora Pavlovich was named to the second team as an outfielder. Three more Bullpups received honorable mention recognition: Ava Romero (second base), Carmin Pavlovich (third base), and Kynedi Huggard (outfield). The extensive list of league honors reflects the balanced excellence that powered McPherson's undefeated season, and multiple Bullpups are expected to receive all-state recognition as postseason awards continue to be announced throughout the state. This championship team's historic accomplishment represents the culmination of years of building excellence within the McPherson softball program.
