The McPherson Bullpups tennis team dominated the Fort Scott Regional on Saturday, capturing the team championship and qualifying their entire squad for the Class 4A State Championships. The Bullpups showcased their depth and talent by securing both finalist positions in singles play and placing two doubles teams in the top three, establishing themselves as serious contenders heading into next weekend's state tournament in Winfield.
In singles competition, Cooper Bohme claimed the regional title with teammate Owen Neighbors finishing as runner-up, highlighting McPherson's singles prowess. The Bullpups were equally formidable in doubles play, where the team of Bryson Alder and Alex Berger captured first place, while teammates Jonas Emery and Mason Eisenbarth rounded out the strong showing with a third-place finish. With all six players advancing to state and momentum on their side, the Bullpups appear poised to make a run at the Class 4A state championship next weekend in Winfield.
