MCPHERSON, Kan. — The McPherson High School Bullpups baseball team's impressive 27-4 season and third-place finish at the Class 4A state tournament has been rewarded with extensive AVCTL Division 3 postseason honors. Senior Ian Razak led the way by earning first-team recognition as both pitcher and first baseman while also claiming co-MVP honors for his outstanding two-way performance. The Bullpups placed six players on the first team, including Carter Allen (catcher, second-team pitcher), Cade Strathman (third base, honorable mention pitcher), Carter Bengston (second base), Brody Seidl (outfield), and Brock Richardson (shortstop), while head coach Heath Gerstner was named Coach of the Year for guiding the team to their historic state tournament run.

The depth of McPherson's talented roster was further highlighted with additional all-league selections across multiple categories. Isaac Barnett (outfield), Brenden Doile (utility), and Logan Beede (pitcher) all earned second-team honors, while Cowne Huggard received honorable mention recognition as designated hitter. The extensive list of league awards reflects the balanced talent and leadership that carried the Bullpups to one of the most successful seasons in program history. With postseason awards continuing to be announced throughout the state, multiple Bullpups are expected to receive all-state recognition, further cementing this team's legacy as one of the finest in McPherson baseball history.
