The MCFC 2016 Boys kicked off their season in thrilling fashion, rallying from a significant deficit to earn a 5–5 draw against FC Wichita 16 at Stryker Sports Complex. 

Goalkeeper George Bohman kept MCFC in contention with several standout saves. Elijah Griggs caught fire in the closing minutes, finding the back of the net to complete a four-goal performance and cap a stunning comeback. Striker Casen Heiman and newcomers Dakeen Gross and Sebastian Guzman created dangerous chances throughout, while defenders Kale Emenenger, Kamden Fuqua, Wendall Stucky, and Owen Pflughoeft held the line in the back.
