Manhattan High School named Kelly Moylan the interim head girls basketball coach on Friday, filling the vacancy left by the July retirement of Scott Mall.

Mall stepped down after eclipsing 500 career victories.

Moylan, a physical education teacher at Anthony Middle School, has been an assistant for the team since 2018\. Moylan brings collegiate coaching experience from Kansas State University and the University of Northern Colorado, alongside previous stints at Junction City, Hiawatha and St. Mary's high schools.

Manhattan athletic director Shad Spilski said Moylan's extensive background across multiple levels of the sport will give the program a competitive edge and build upon its established student-athlete experience.
