At-large Councilmember Darrin Truan is Hutchinson's new vice mayor after the City Council voted Tuesday, Oct. 20, to appoint him to serve alongside Mayor Scott Meggers.

The city announced the appointment on its official Facebook page Wednesday, Oct. 21.

Meggers was elected mayor in January, at the same session in which the council welcomed a new member.
