# Hutchinson begins construction on new Fairgrounds Park playground

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The city of Hutchinson has begun work on a new playground at Fairgrounds Park, officials announced Feb. 20.

Crews are removing the existing play structure and preparing the ground before new equipment and surfacing are installed. Caution tape has been placed around the work area as construction gets underway.

The project is aimed at bringing an updated, safe play space to the community, according to a City of Hutchinson post on social media. The city said it will provide progress updates as work continues.
