Hutchinson Police Promote Tyler Proctor to Sergeant

The Hutchinson Police Department announced the promotion of Tyler Proctor to the rank of sergeant, recognizing his contributions to the department and community over the past five years.
Sergeant Proctor, a Wichita-area native, graduated from Rose Hill High School in 2017 before attending Emporia State University from 2017 to 2019. He began his law enforcement career with the Hutchinson Police Department in March 2020 as a first-generation police officer.
Since joining the department, Proctor has distinguished himself through various roles and responsibilities. He became an active member of the department's Honor Guard and was promoted to Honor Guard team leader in 2021. His additional duties have included serving as a field training officer and most recently as a master police officer.
The promotion reflects Proctor's commitment to professional development and service within the department. He has also been involved in instructing classes for new officers, helping to train the next generation of law enforcement personnel.
"Congratulations, Sergeant Proctor, on your promotion!" the department stated in announcing the advancement.
