Hutchinson Community College instructor retires after 24 years

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A longtime Hutchinson Community College instructor is retiring after 24 years of service as an academic advisor and general education teacher.

Teri Eckhoff, who has served as both an Academic Advisor and General Education Instructor, concluded her career at the college this month. She taught courses including Introduction to Education, Education Practicum, and Technical Writing while also working as a Humanities Integration Specialist.

Student Recognition

Students praised Eckhoff's teaching approach throughout her tenure at the college. One student noted her assignments were "fun, creative, and genuinely meaningful," while another said she "makes learning fun and shows what it takes to be a great instructor."

The college recognized Eckhoff as part of its "Inspiring Instructor" series, which highlights faculty members who have made significant impacts on students and the institution.
