BREAKING: Inmate at Reno County Correctional Facility pronounced dead

HUTCHINSON, Kan. (AP) — A 41-year-old inmate died early Monday at the Reno County Correctional Facility after being found unresponsive during a routine safety check, authorities said.
Joshua Caleb Ledbetter of Hutchinson was discovered unresponsive around 1:43 a.m., according to a press release from the Reno County Sheriff's Office. Jail staff and emergency responders attempted life-saving measures, but Ledbetter was pronounced dead.
Ledbetter had been booked into the facility April 30 on charges of electronic indecent solicitation of a child, Sheriff Darrian Campbell said.
The Kansas Bureau of Investigation will conduct an independent investigation into the death. The sheriff's office is also conducting an internal administrative review.
Campbell said there is currently no indication of foul play. The official cause and manner of death will be determined by the Reno County Coroner's Office.
Next of kin have been notified.
