# Hays adjusts trash collection schedule for Memorial Day

HAYS, Kan. — Hays residents will experience a slight shift in their trash and recycling pickup schedules next week due to the Memorial Day holiday. Both Monday and Tuesday routes will be collected on Tuesday, May 26, while pickups for the remainder of the week will proceed on their normal schedules. The Public Works Department anticipates heavy trash volumes and advises customers to place their polycarts out by 7 a.m. to accommodate unpredictable truck schedules, directing any questions to the Solid Waste Division at 785-628-7350.
