The Harvey County 4-H senior horticulture team secured second place overall at the State 4-H Horticulture Judging Contest on Aug. 15 in Manhattan. All three team members finished in the top 10 individually, with Rylen taking second place, Kyler earning fourth and Shaley placing sixth. The annual competition, hosted at Kansas State University, challenges youth to demonstrate their skills through plant identification, a general horticulture knowledge test and quality judging classes.
