The commission reached a consensus to include a two-sided, black-and-white insert detailing how property tax rates are calculated and illustrating that county taxes account for about 25 to 30 percent of a resident's total tax bill. The county opted for the black-and-white option, costing about $890 to produce, to avoid the nearly $4,000 expense required for color printing.
