Hack and Scratch open the fall sports season with a full Bullpup preview: a loaded football roster returning all-state receiver Ashton Malm and quarterback Carter Bengtson ahead of Friday's opener against Augusta, girls golf entering year five after back-to-back third-place state finishes, Coach Doile's 21st volleyball season off a 35-7 state-qualifying year, a senior-heavy soccer team returning eight starters, a tennis squad that graduated only one starter from last year's state runner-up lineup, and a cross country team chasing state hardware after losing three-time champ Caleb Muehler. Zac adds a Canton Galva eight-man preview — 20-plus players out, a new north district, and a rubberized track debuting Friday after 50 years of gravel — before the guys close with the Tour Championship: Scottie Scheffler wearing down the field at East Lake, Viktor Hovland's putter finally cooling off, both hosts cashing plus-money Scottie bets, and early Presidents Cup picks ahead of the September 1 announcement.
