# GoFundMe launched to help 6 puppies abandoned at Walmart

MCPHERSON, Kan. — A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to help care for six 1-week-old puppies who were abandoned in a pink bag behind a parked vehicle's tire at a Walmart parking lot Thursday afternoon.

McPherson animal control and police officers safely recovered the dogs at 4:30 p.m., and the puppies are now doing well while being bottle-fed by shelter workers, police and jail staff.

Anyone with information on the incident is urged to contact the McPherson Police Department, the McPherson Animal Shelter or McPherson County Crimestoppers.

To help support the care of these puppies at the McPherson Animal Shelter, citizen journal has set up an [online fundraiser](https://gofund.me/3a1c43508?ref=citizenjournal.us). One hundred percent of funds will go directly to these puppies.
