The funds were allocated from three different community funds to support a diverse range of projects. McPherson County General Grants **Night to Shine** received $2,000 to support the second annual prom-like experience for individuals 14 and older with special needs. Founded by the Tim Tebow Foundation, this international event celebrates each guest with a red carpet walk, dinner, dance, karaoke, and more. The **McPherson Museum** was awarded $3,140 for a computer upgrade project. The museum's current computers are several years old, incompatible with Windows 11, and will no longer receive security updates. **Central Christian College Foundation** received $2,000 to purchase an interactive smartboard for the Education Department's model classroom. The technology has become standard in K-12 schools, and the smartboard will allow faculty to model effective teaching practices while giving students hands-on experience with tools they'll encounter in modern classrooms. The **McPherson Resource Council** was granted $5,000 for the McPherson County Christmas Food Baskets program, which provides non-perishable and perishable food to families in need during the holiday season. David J. Nutt for Lindsborg **Lindsborg At Work**, the collective arm of the Lindsborg business community, received $9,500 for a downtown sound system. **USD 400** was awarded $3,220 for climbing wall mats at Soderstrom Elementary. The Physical Education Department seeks to complete a climbing wall that will enhance the program and support whole-child development. **Bethany College** received $2,500 for soloists for the 145th Annual Messiah Festival. The festival, highlighted by Handel's Messiah, has been performed annually since 1882 and represents the longest-running annual performance of the work in North America. Moundridge Community Foundation The **Moundridge Rec Commission** was granted $5,000 for safety improvements at Greer Gym, including the installation of card readers on two entry doors.
