NEWTON, Kan. — Residents have just two days left to purchase official merchandise before the online store closes Wednesday, June 17, for the upcoming Rockets & Rails celebration honoring Independence Day and America’s 250th anniversary. The Newton-themed apparel features four distinct designs — including exclusive event gear and the city's signature "Trains & Grains" motif — which will be available for pickup ahead of the July 3 festivities, live music and fireworks at Athletic Park's Fischer Field. Organizers are urging locals to secure their shirts before the fast-approaching deadline to showcase their hometown pride during the historic community milestone.
