Canton's trash service is delayed one day this week, to Thursday, Sept. 10, because of the Labor Day holiday Monday, Sept. 7.

The City Council meets that same night at 6 p.m. in the City Council Room at 100 S. Main St. The city said in a Tuesday, Sept. 8 Facebook reminder that the early start time is due to its [revenue-neutral rate and budget hearings](https://www.citizenjournal.us/canton-sets-sept-10-hearing-on-budget-revenue-neutral-rate/), with the regular council agenda resuming once the hearings are finished.
